You can use aloe vera gel on your dog’s skin if they have a wound or sore to help ease the pain and promote quick healing. As the gel is non-toxic (it is the latex that is toxic) even if your dog licks the gel from the wound as they self-groom, it will not cause an issue.
Aloe Vera contains enzymes that help heal itchy skin and reduce inflammation. Aloe vera also contains around 75 other components that give it healing properties. Aloe is has high efficacy (clinically proven) at promoting and reducing wound healing time, it has anti-inflammatory properties, burn-healing properties as well as fighting various bacteria.
